Willingness to work intensively on the topic and profound knowledge in animation and/or digital video production, e.g. through successful completion of the courses Bewegtbild I & II, AV Medien/Film, Digitale Grundlagen Animationstechniken.
The introduction to the AV workshop 'Camera, Light and Sound' is obligatory and can be attended on 06.12.2024 if required.
Participation in the seminar '3D Modelling and Animation' by Regine Schippers is highly recommended.

The project 'Species of Spaces' examines the potential of Expanded Animation to transcend the boundaries between physical and virtual space. Drawing inspiration from the essay of the same name by Perec (1974), we will playfully develop space and spaces, from the closest to the furthest, from the physical to the virtual, from the non- to the fictional, and stretch our understanding of space. The project includes an introduction to projection mapping, lectures on 'History and Aesthetics of Animation', and the Monthly Writing Workshop.
'Species of Spaces' is an experimental cooperation project between Next Level – Festival for Games and the Folkwang University of the Arts.
